[ART]Production art update week 11
Hi everybody
We've got some more props in the level, a new layout for playtesting purposes and my secret shader experiments were... a success! ..mostly.
Turns out multibanding is definitely possible but when I tried to get coloured lights to work I found out that there's no real way to do that other than blending your post process on top so it doesn't take away ALL light colour information. Which is somewhat harder to do with multibanding.
Long story short, we have multiple options for how we want the post processing to look. But one addition which definitely adds readability is the outline
You can change the amount of banding in light and dark areas, make the level lighter or darker with a slider...
Or give everything a certain hue tint to create the mood we want.
And here I increased the outline size for demonstration purposes since it's not super clear on the screenshots.
Aside from that we made the jail a bit more... jail-like.
The main thing to tackle now is the UI while we try to make the scene feel a bit more alive with more props.
